Yesterday marked our maiden surgical procedure at the Ark Hospital Ikorodu, Lagos. It went successfully; staff, patient and patient's relatives were all excited. 

It is particularly satisfying for the management of the hospital to know that in a deprived environment, where most of your patients are either of low or middle scoioeconomic class, where electricity is as scarce as the dentures of a hen and where the morale of staffs respond only to money and comfort, a high quality and safe surgical procedure could be achieved.

Patient was appropriately prepared mentally, psychologically and physically for the procedure. All fears and misconceptions about surgical procediures were allayed. Patient and public education on our part constituted a major part of siuccessful care 

This achievement is down to teamwork nutured through effective communication, encouraging members, keeping our vision and mission statement in focus and getting on with it.

It our believe that this achievement will be our minimum standard!
